Rotors, created for VES 60r "Digital Expression," was a simple mouse-responsive envirnment for aimless play. I was inspired by the relaxing, meditative experience of playing with desktop "Zen sand gardens," and I wanted the rotors to be able to respond to the mouse as though the mouse were "hitting" the vanes as they go by.
You can "blow" into the screen by holding down the mouse button (the rotors will spin in the proper direction and at speeds proportional to their distance from the cursor. Additionally, you can hover over a rotor to change its scale, or double-click to magnify all the rotors.
Please note, this .swf is a bit inefficient and you may notice a lag in some responses. If you have an Intel Mac, you may not be able to get the right Flash player for this app.
