This fabric was developed as a final project for VES 61r "Physical Computing" in 2004, and was one of the entries sent by Harvard to the New Media Beijing art festival in Summer 2004. Embedded sensors in this velour toy sense the direction, duration, and intensity of each stroke as a person pets it. The fabric has limited memory capacities and reacts to loneliness or mistreatment.
