A GOOD TRAP ~7 minutes, winter 2005. Loopable DVD with diagetic audio.

This piece is a static shot of a clearing in the woods in winter. Fixed-angle, fixed-focus, fixed-exposure. Over the course of about six minutes, there is little change in the visual field.
If the audio is on, it's possible to hear someone behind the camera running away until he's out of earshot. After a brief interval in which the runner cannot be heard, a figure approaches the camera head-on, emerging from the woods. The figure walks straight towards the camera and looks straight ahead. Before reaching the camera, he falls into a grave-shaped hole and lies there, motionless; we can only see his boots as he lies flat in the grave. This continues for about one minute, after which the piece loops back to the beginning.
